Black and white party?? Well for us anyways.. meet one my best friends, Kimberly. HI!!! I’m on the left… and yes, yes that is a mesh bodysuit… Takes balls. This isn’t NY or LA where that kind of thing is “acceptable” which is exactly why I love it… ahhh it’s almost 3am and sleep.. yeah sleep and I are strangers.
Last week in Los Angeles I participated in a live Q&A as part of an ASCAP expo on songwriting. When the topic of Twitter came up, I explained my waning interest in it being part of my daily life. By no means do I think it’s over as a medium altogether, but I do think that the days of “Twitter: The…
Okay, so I have always been a fan of John Mayer’s music… sometimes it’s cheesy but let’s be honest- you gotta’ do what you gotta’ do to stay on the radio. As far as his “not for radio” music goes, I think he’s an amazingly talented musician and it’s simply absurd to say otherwise. I have seen a lot of negative responses to his post regarding twitter and further scrutiny about hiding from all the “bad press” he’s brought on himself and I think it’s crap. Should he have kept his mouth shut about some things? Maybe, maybe not. People (paparazzi and psycho journalists) are actually able to make a living by stalking, harrassing, reinventing the ‘truth’ and completely twisting the words everytime a celebrity opens their mouth.. I’m ranting. My point is, who the hell cares what he says during an interview!? If you don’t like what HE has to say then shut up about it and go read an interview on someone that you DO like. All the negativity is crowding the airwaves with bullshit and it’s a complete buzzkill. He’s a celebrity, yes- but before all the fame (AND DURING) he’s just a freaking human being who still has the balls to speak his mind. Ugh- anyway…all in all, John Mayer- you’re the shit.
